MR Express Clerestory, Brake 3rd
Built between 1898 and 1902 by the Midland Railway, these elegant non-corridor coaches were used for express routes chiefly in the Yorkshire West Riding area.
Some survived at departmental vehicles until the outbreak of the Second World War, whilst others were grounded (kit 519). 4 x 3rd compartments with lavatory & brake compartments.
