Unless you are running clockwork or live-steam trains on your layout, electricity plays a major part in keeping the trains running. You may also have accessories like signals or lights that run on electricity, so it is inevitable that you are likely to need a switch or two! There are various types of switches available and choosing the correct one to use is important. This double-throw or changeover switch from Peco is ideal for controlling a 2-aspect colour light signal. It could also be wired up as a simple on-off switch, or could be used in unison with a second PL-23 switch to create a double-pole, double-throw switch to change the polarity of the combined outputs. Use PL24 Switch Bar to gang switches together so they move at the same time. Use a PL27 Switch Console to mount up to 6 switches neatly adjacent to each other. The switch style matches the PL-26 range of switches.
