Turnout Motor with Extended Operating Pin Low Amperage for under-board fixing. Requires 9.5mm (3/8in) hole.

The PL series of Turnout Motors is tried and tested, over the last 40 years we have sold literally millions of these motors. Simple, reliable and good value. This unit features specially wound coils for use with small low output transformer controllers, popular in Europe. An extended drive pin is fitted, use the PL-9 Mounting Plate to attach this unit to the underside of the baseboard. Attaching PL-13 and 15 Switches will enable switching for automatic polarity etc.

Unless you are running clockwork or live-steam trains on your layout, electricity plays a major part in keeping the trains running. You may also have accessories like signals or lights that run on electricity, including operation of your points. This point motor from Peco mounts under the baseboard and has an extended operating pin that that passes through an elongated hole in the baseboard and fits into the hole in the tie-bar of the point. This is identical to the PL10E but requires less current. It requires a pulse of electricity to operate and this can easily be provided via a Peco PL-26 passing contact switch.
