BR China Clayhood with hood fitted from 1973
BR built 875 of these wagons between 1954 and 1960 for use on the china clay workings in the West Country. The first 100 wagons were unfitted, but all were fitted with Morton vaccum brakes. From 1973, 700 wagons had the fixed bar and cover fitted.
