Detailed model of the Midland Railways' largest 0-6-0 goods engine, the 4F class. This locomotive was adopted as the standard goods engine for the LMS after grouping, with several hundred examples being built.

Bachmanns' model features a motor carefully hidden inside the firebox and boiler powering the locomotive driving wheels.

Although details have not been finalised it is hoped the tooling will allow for the many variations which occur over the lives of many hundreds of engines. In the case of the 4Fs in addition to the range of different tenders used there were even left-hand and right-hand drive versions!
