TWO PART EPOXY PUTTY (113.
4gm)
Black Milliput is ideal if you want to match a black surface without painting it afterwards.
Once cured the beauty of Milliput is that it can be drilled, filed and sanded while still retaining its adhesive properties and bonding strength.
Typical applications:
It is a 2-part Epoxy Putty.
The term ‘2-part’ means that there are 2 materials that have to be mixed together to form the putty.
The pack contains 2 x 56.
7gm sticks, one of each ‘ingredient’.
Each stick is a different colour.
Mix equal quantities from each stick by kneading in your hands until the 2 colours merge.
Use water to avoid the putty sticking to your fingers, and wear rubber gloves.
This kneading will create the putty that is soft and highly adhesive at first, but will become rock-hard over time.
At normal temperatures (20-25degress C), this takes about 3-4 hours, but increasing the temperature can speed up the process.
Being formed by chemical reaction, it will even set under water.
Once it is set, it can be drilled, tapped, machined.
turned, filed, sawn, sanded and painted.
Its adhesive properties mean that it can bond wood, metal, plastic, glass, concrete, brick, etc when the putty is used in thick layers to do so.
Note that any tools used for mixing and working the putty should be washed in water immediately after use.
If this is not done, the putty will be almost impossible to remove from them.
