RONUK Tank Wagon No.38

Ronuk Ltd manufactured liquid polish, transporting it in a small fleet of 14 ton short wheel base Class A tank wagons.

In service just prior to WWII the bright livery would have stood out from the crowd, at least in the beginning, until the the daily grime of the railway took hold! This model represents one of these wagons, based on the 10 foot chassis, and featuring the distinctive sky-blue livery.

A colourful addition to any model railway.

All PECO N scale wagons are free-running, with plenty of detail included, such as the fine printing as seen on this model. Note the matching blue sole bar.

Private owner wagons abounded prior to nationalisation, they would often be seen far from their base as they were sent to collect raw materials and supplies such as coal, and deliver finished goods.

The ELC coupling, whilst compatible with the standard N gauge couplings, keeps a realistic distance between vehicles and enables the PL-25 electro magnetic decoupler to be used for remote uncoupling.
