Conflat Container Wagon LMS Furniture Removals

If you are looking for N gauge goods wagons, and don’t wish to construct your own, there are plenty of ready-to-run models available such as this one from the Peco's ‘Quality Line’ range. This is a 10ft wheelbase 1-plank wagon complete with a 1933 design of BK type container. Presented here in LMS Furniture Removals guise, the BK container was designed to carry furniture and has a flat panel on the top right of each side where in real life, the trader would affix their self-adhesive label. If you want to build it yourself to create a different variant or save some money, this is also available in unpainted kit form as KNR-20.
Once dubbed 'the suitcase of industry' these railway containers were the precursor of the modern container, allowing a contained load to be quickly unloaded or transhipped from rail to road transport.
