Mud Brown – Dark Shade

Water soluble paint, visible on dark surfaces

Best for very dark shades of dirt, especially good on railway model underframes and tracks/sleepers.

Best not to apply to a large surface without testing first, the effect is quite dark.

Apply neat, straight from the pot using a paint brush or air brush spray. Apply to a non-porous surface such as plastic, let dry, and then wipe using a damp cotton bud or tissue (kitchen roll), to create great weathered effects. (Dye will permanently stain porous surfaces)

Can be made permanent by sealing with a fine acrylic fixative spray. Apply fine, mist coats so as not to dissolve the dye. Test first because some varnishes change the colour.

Mixes with all other opaque weathering liquids.

• Great dark dirt colour. The Mud Browns are the one of the best weathering colours of this range. Use for all types of weathering on models, buildings and landscapes.
• Solvent based dye (or ink) for weathering models of all types and sizes.
• Dries quickly to a very high matt finish.
• Opaque when dry. Colour forms as liquids dries. Surfaces are only slightly visible through the dried weathering liquid, depending on how much is applied.
• Thicker coating than translucent weathering liquid.
• Water soluble – Washes off non-porous surfaces, but more permanent than translucent weathering liquid.
